Our first in-person annual seminar in three years was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX. There were 30 Chemists, three trainees, six gas-free engineers and one MCE in attendance, along with spouses, children and friends for a total of about 100 individuals.

The seminar began with registration in the hospitality suite on Sunday night. This year Eric Moore CMC 626, his wife Jenny and her sister Clelleen helped to host the suite representing the Gulf Section. For the first time ever (as long as I can remember) we had an official bartender making drinks, along with assorted food. Toby Turcotte brought a boudin ball tray which was a hit. The suite remained open throughout the seminar and was used by a large number of chemists.

This year, to encourage chemists to attend the seminar post covid an incentive program was initiated. With the large number of chemists attending the virtual seminars it was difficult to judge the number of members who would attend an in-person seminar. The requirements for the incentive follow. Many chemists took advantage of this program and it helped to make the seminar a success.
